Washington, D.C. – America’s Power President and CEO Michelle Bloodworth today issued the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court issued an emergency stay on the Environmental Protection Agency’s Ozone Transport Rule (also known as the Good Neighbor Rule):
“We are pleased that the Court recognized the immediate and irreparable harm this rule would do to utilities and ratepayers. This rule represents yet another example of EPA overreach which is the reason why other EPA rules are also being challenged in the courts. We look forward to this rule ultimately being struck down by the courts so that states and utilities can continue focusing on the best ways to deliver affordable and reliable power to American families and businesses.”
